(Photo Credit: Shamar Blunt/Barbados TODAY) FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 802 Police have identified the man killed during Tuesday afternoon’s stabbing at Haynesville, St James as 38-year-old Andre Sylvester Maynard of Redmans Village, St Thomas. Police said officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 2:50 p.m. and discovered Maynard lying motionless in the area. Ambulance personnel examined him at the scene and found no signs of life. A medical doctor later visited and pronounced death. Initial investigations revealed that a dispute between two men escalated, resulting in Maynard receiving a stab wound from which he succumbed. A person of interest remains in police custody assisting investigators. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or the Holetown Police Station at 419-1700 or 419-1701.
