Justice Pamela Beckles ordered pre-sentence and time-spent-on-remand reports for Eric Astor Omar Gibson after a jury unanimously found him guilty. Following her summation in the No. 5 Supreme Court, the resident of West Terrace Gardens, St James, was convicted by a nine-member jury of being in possession of 37.9 kilogrammes of cannabis and of committing acts preparatory to trafficking the controlled drug between February 5 and 7, 2019. The drugs were found by personnel at the Bridgetown Port in a compressor and two battery chargers. State Counsel Maya Kellman prosecuted the case, while defence attorneys Zaria Taylor and Elan Greenidge represent the accused. The case continues on July 23. Gibson remains on bail.
