The third-round victory was Barbados’ second consecutive win after their opening-round match was abandoned. Batting first at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua, Barbados powered to 206 for two off their allotted 20 overs, as Brathwaite hammered an unbeaten 135 from 76 balls. The remarkable innings featured 17 fours and seven sixes and came at a strike rate of 178. Jadaeya Holder added five, Theanny Hebert-Mayers eight and Zaniyah Bruce 20 not out. In reply the Leewards were restricted to 116 for three, as Zara Skerritt top scored with 36 not out, while Innka Wilson added 26. For Barbados, Zoe McCallister, Zaniyah Bruce and Camia Matthew-Brome all took a wicket apiece. Barbados will be back in action against Jamaica on Wednesday.
