Woman charged with murder

A 31-year-old woman will appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court tomorrow charged with last Saturday’s murder of Shanice Miller.

Shakira Carlann Blackman, of 4th Avenue Park Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael is accused of killing Miller who received multiple injuries during an altercation with another female along Upper James Street, near the junction of Synagogue Lane, Bridgetown.

Miller, who lived at Kensington New Road, St Michael, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital while undergoing medical treatment, a day after the incident. (BT/BPS)
