Eastmond takes over at luxury resort

O2 Beach Club & Spa, a five star luxury all-inclusive resort and the latest addition to Barbados’ prestigious family-owned Ocean Hotels Group, has appointed Barbadian-born Christopher Eastmond as General Manager.

In his role, Eastmond will lead his teams in creating and delivering in all aspects of hospitality at O2 Beach Club & Spa. Eastmond’s strong and inclusive management style with an emphasis on team coaching and mentoring will ensure the next generation of hospitality managers are ready and able to lead with confidence and success in the luxury sector.

With more than twenty years of experience and a proven success record in the boutique resort and luxury private residences niche in the Caribbean, Eastmond is focused on the implementation of operational plans to achieve financial integrity and sustainable profitability, paired with a strong, positive work culture.

He believes in building a trained and motivated team to deliver an exceptional guest experience and maintain luxury standards consistently. Most recently, Eastmond served as the General Manager at Belle Mont Farm Resort at Kittitian Hill in St. Kitts and he previously held the role of General Manager at Curtain Bluff, and Grace Bay Resorts.

Additionally, Eastmond was a member of the Sandy Lane, Carlisle Bay, and Cobblers Cove pre-opening teams.

O2 Beach Club & Spa opened in November 2021 and features spacious rooms and suites in three distinct collections: Concierge, Luxury and Club. Guests are welcome to enjoy a spa treatment at the newly opened Acqua Spa, which boasts panoramic views of the ocean.

O2 Beach Club & Spa is also home to five restaurants, six bars and a variety of creative dining experiences. The hotel boasts a plethora of activities, including their signature “how-to” classes, for guests to return from their travels with new skills and an authentic taste of local culture.  (PR)
