Bach, who is currently heading a delegation of IOC officials on the island was a special guest at the 2023 Chefette/Frosteez National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championship final this morning at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex. While delivering remarks and executing the declaration of the official opening of the finals, Bach, a former Olympic foil fencer and gold medalist encouraged NAPSAC athletes to aim for the Olympic Games. “ You must stay together and continue to get stronger as you follow the Olympic motto and one day I hope we will see you at the games as you try to Barbados on the map and at the top.” Bach told athletes in a very brief address.
