Fitzroy Anthony Allwood, 38, of Skeetes Road, Bank Hall, and Carl St Clair Amos, 42, of Eagle Hall, both admitted causing a disturbance on Fairchild Street, a highway. The No. 2 District โAโ Magistratesโ Court heard that both masons were in the area known as Vincy Town when Amos approached Allwood and called him by a derogatory slur. A fight broke out, causing a crowd to gather, and bystanders separated the men. Police arrived and arrested and charged the pair. Both men apologised to the court for their behaviour, particularly in a public place. Acting Magistrate Shakieda Sealy told them that if they breached their bonds, they would each have to pay a $1 000 fine or spend three months at Dodds Prison. Allwood was separately charged with maliciously wounding Amos, but Amos informed the court that he was not interested in pursuing the case, and it was dismissed for want of prosecution.
