The initiative, which commenced on July 2, has already engaged over 130 youth and has taken place at the Barbados Youth Advance Corps Showcase, the Bush Hall Community Centre in St. Michael, and Golden Square Freedom Park. Workshops were also conducted with students from Daryll Jordan Secondary School and St. George Secondary School. “Ocean Hotels Group is thrilled to be engaged in our local communities through ‘Navigating Your Future,’” said Ocean Hotels Group Human Resources Manager, Brittany Brathwaite. “Our strategy has always seen us giving back to the community and unfortunately, some of that was impeded by COVID restrictions. We are thrilled to be physically back in the community and developing talent across the country. Through these training initiatives, we hope to empower youth and young professionals across the nation to achieve their dreams through long, fruitful careers.” While ‘Navigating Your Future’ will conclude at the end of September, Ocean Hotels Group will begin another phase of the program by providing further opportunities through the Ministry of Youth and Culture and the team will continue to serve as facilitators in various training areas across communities in Barbados.
