Shawn Okeefe Bridgeman, 52, of Drax Hall Hope, St George, and Lenox Persid, 53, of #23 Mount Wilton, St Thomas, appeared before Magistrate Ward-Sargeant in the Holetown Magistratesโ Court on Tuesday, where they were not required to plead to the indictable offences. Both men were granted bail in the sum of $500 000 each, with one surety, and the matters were transferred to the District โDโ Magistratesโ Court for Tuesday, January 13. The Barbados Police Service Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) charged the men with possession of cannabis, trafficking of cannabis and intent to supply cannabis, in relation to offences allegedly committed on December 12, 2025. Police reported that the total estimated weight of the suspected cannabis was 395.3 kilogrammes, with an estimated street value of $1 581 200.
