Child abuse for sure

Desmond Napoles is an abused and exploited 11-year-old child. It is an abuse that has been perpetuated for the past three years when at eight years old he was shown in a video participating in a New York City’s Pride March. That video went viral on social media and made him “famous.”

Needless to say, the child has a very liberal mother indeed, who is proud of his fame; and she continues to allow him to be involved in all kinds of LGBTQ activities. Hence, he has quickly become the poster boy-girl of the group.

Last month, Desmond, “dressed in full-drag… danced on stage at a gay bar in Brooklyn, New York… As he took off his coat and revealed his outfit, he bounced around onstage [while]… cheering grown men were handing him single dollar bills, as you might see in a strip club,” (article by Amanda Prestigiacomo, www.dailywire.com, December 24, 2018).

Imagine that! Adult men reacting to a child in this manner. Now, if this is not child abuse, then what is?

Unfortunately, this is the world in which we live. A place and time when wickedness increases; and evil is seen and presented as good, and good branded as evil! The Apostle Paul testifies to the depravity of human nature: “Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behaviour… They are… haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning… (Romans 1:29, 30).

Really, could any of us have imagined a day would come when a young boy dressed as a girl would be “performing” for grown men in a gay bar? And what is even worse, is that he has the full backing of his mother! Not only that, but the mainstream media has been boldly promoting the antics of this child for the past three years. NBC Universal News Group has used its affiliate, CBNC, to showcase a video of Desmond as an “LGBTQ youth” advocate. “This 11-year-old drag kid is using his voice to encourage LGBTQ youth to be themselves,” was CNBC’s caption to the video.

But a child naturally mimics adults’ opinions and behaviour. This is all part of the learning and development process. So in truth and in fact, Desmond is doing what he has seen, and talking about what he has heard. Add to this the attention he is given with magazine interviews and TV appearances, and the result is fame and stardom – a child’s dream!

All who have eyes to see can perceive that this boy – and other children like him – is being set up for a disastrous future.

The Executive Director of the American College of Pediatricians expressed her concerns this way: “Desmond has been sexualized and exploited as a ‘child drag queen’ at least since 2015 when he began starring in the NYC gay pride parade. I have commented in the past that facilitating child drag queens amounts to sexual grooming if not an all-out embrace of paedophilia. That this poor child is now performing in an NYC strip club is further proof that this really is child abuse,” (www.wnd.com December 19, 2018).

And because of situations like this Christians can never cease praying to God the Father about the depraved world in which we live. We know that our Lord loves children, and that He will hear us when we talk to Him about Desmond and other abused children!
