Police said shortly after 1 p.m., members of the Anti Gun and Gang Unit were conducting an operation in the area during which the man was found in possession of a firearm. Police said the man was shot in the left leg and was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to receive medical attention. Another man, also 24, was taken into custody and police also seized a motor car and a small quantity of cannabis.
