Police are continuing investigations into an accident, which left a pedestrian nursing multiple injuries resulting from a collision involving a route taxi around 9:30 last night.

Lawmen say Andy Parris, 62, of Silver Hill, Christ Church was walking along Oistins main road, just opposite the Silver Fox Arcade, in the same parish, when he was struck while attempting to cross the road.

The route taxi, # ZR 191, owned by Fullworth Transport Brighton, St Michael was being driven by Michael Yearwood, 27, of Fordes Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael.

Parris suffered injuries to his head, left foot, hip and abdomen.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
