GEORGETOWN, Guyana – Barbados remained on course for the double when they brushed aside archrivals Trinidad and Tobago by seven wickets yesterday, to win their fourth straight match in the Women’s T20 Blaze.
Asked to chase 137 at the National Stadium, Barbados got an unbeaten half-century from in-form all-rounder Deandra Dottin who made 52 not out while Knight twin – Kyshona and Kycia – chipped in with 33 not out and 28 respectively.

The victory left Barbados top of the standings on 12 points with one game remaining against hosts Guyana.
Both T&T and Guyana remain in with a chance of topping the standings, however, with both three points adrift of the leaders.
Also seeking their fourth straight victory, T&T rallied to 136 for six off their 20 overs, after being sent in, with West Indies star Britney Cooper top-scoring with 31 off 24 balls and former international player, Stacy-Ann King getting 30 off 25 deliveries.
Former Windies captain, Merissa Aguilleira, added impetus late with an unbeaten 29 from 26 balls.
Medium pacer Dottin proved brilliant with two for nine off four overs while seamer Shakera Selman claimed two for 19.
In reply, Barbados lost their captain and Windies opener Hayley Matthews to the third ball of the innings without a run on the board but fought back, first through a second-wicket stand between Kycia Knight and Danielle Small (15).
Dottin then took charge of the run chase, hitting five fours and two sixes in a 32-ball knock, and putting on 71 in an unbroken fourth wicket stand with Kyshona Knight who struck five fours off 23 deliveries, as Barbados reached their target in the 16th over.
In the feature match, Guyana got 40 from Tremayne Smartt and 28 from her West Indies teammate Shemaine Campbelle, as they beat the Windward Islands by 18 runs, after gathering 105 for eight off 20 overs.
And Jamaica crushed the Leeward Islands by 10 wickets after easily overhauling their paltry target of 62, with Jodi-Ann Morgan stroking 30 not out and opening partner Natasha McLean, 28 not out.
