It is alleged that on August 16, 2018, Sha Kole Ato Thorne of Carlington Terrace, Black Rock, St Michael dishonestly obtained from Beauty Exchange Inc a $1,400 television by falsely representing that a CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank (Barbados) Limited cheque that he produced was a good and valid order for payment of the sum. He is further accused of producing another false cheque on December 21, 2018 to 21 Degrees Inc as payment for an air-conditioning unit for the sum of $1,237. 91. There were no objections to bail and Thorne was released after Magistrate Douglas Frederick accepted his surety. The accused, who is represented by attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens, will make his next appearance in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on October 2.
