The 26-year-old, of 10th Avenue New Orleans, St Michael was sent to the St Philip institution when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court yesterday. However, he will go before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant on September 12 as the charges are said to have occurred in the District ‘A’ jurisdiction. Forde is alleged to have caused serious bodily harm to Sheron Matthews on August 23 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable her. It is further alleged that on the same day he unlawfully and maliciously engaged in conduct that placed Jumaane Matthews-Ifill in danger of death or serious bodily harm. He is accused of using a firearm without a valid licence. He was not required to plead to any of the indictable charges nor to a charge that he dishonestly assisted in the retention, removal or disposal of a motorcar worth $28,000 belonging to Ross Clarke between December 5 and 12, 2018 knowing or believing it to be stolen.
