Three Christ Church men remanded to Dodds

Three men seen fighting along Rockley Main Road, Christ Church in a video circulating on social media have been remanded to HMP Dodds.

 

They are Matthew Anthony Robinson, 39, of Parish Land, Christ Church, who is charged with breach of curfew; causing a disturbance and throwing stones on a highway.

 

Omar DaCosta Holder, 37, of Lot 6C Pleasant Hall, Christ Church. He was charged with possession of an offensive weapon, possession of cannabis, fear of violence and causing a disturbance and throwing stones on a highway.

 

The third accused is Mario Jabarry Birkett, 30 years, of Balls Land, Christ Church who was charged with causing a disturbance and throwing stones on a highway.

 

Last Saturday, the men were aboard a route taxi travelling towards Bridgetown when they became involved in an argument, which escalated into an altercation.

 

When they appeared in the District ‘D’ Magistrates’ Court before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes they pleaded not guilty.

 

They are scheduled to return to court on Monday, June 8,

 

Robinson will also make a second court appearance on June 22 for breaching the curfew.
