Karl Samuda, Minister with responsibility for Education, confirmed on Monday that Jamaica made its position known on Friday during an emergency meeting with ministers of education from the region and CXC officials. Mr Samuda said, in light of the challenges facing Jamaica’s education sector arising from the COVID 19 pandemic, it would not be possible to hold the external exams on that schedule.
