The Chief Elections Officer, Keith Lowenfield on Saturday again failed to submit a report in line with the Guyana elections recount. Lowenfield reportedly submitted a report showing a win for the APNU-AFC, leaving results of Guyana’s four-month-old elections in further limbo.

Saturday’s Commission meeting did not go ahead as there was no quorum, because the three pro-coalition election commissioners did not turn up for the meeting.

The governing coalition’s stance is almost identical to concerns raised by the Chief Elections Officer in a letter to the GECOM Chairman, Justice Singh.
