COVID-19 UPDATE: Three new cases

Three visitors, two British and a Colombian, are the latest COVID-19-positive cases in Barbados.

​The British, a five-year-old male and a 38-year-old male, are known contacts of an earlier case confirmed on August 18. They tested positive yesterday and were transferred to the isolation facility at Harrison Point, St. Lucy.

​The 31-year-old male Colombian visitor tested positive on arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport yesterday.

​There are now 164 confirmed cases and 25 people in isolation. No one was discharged from isolation today,so the number of recoveries remains at 132.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 179 tests yesterday, bringing the total number to 15,990. (BGIS)
