According to a police statement, officers at the District โCโ Police Station went to the scene after receiving a report around 11:40 p.m. on Monday. With the assistance of the Barbados Fire Service under the command of Divisional Officer Errol Gaskin, nine fire officers and two tenders were able to rescue the man about 12:48 a.m. The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, had injuries to his body and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.
