Hypasounds and Alison Hinds The Carnival Village night at Fort Christian Lot in St Thomas was more than a concert, it was a statement. A statement that the US Virgin Islands remains one of the premier destinations for Caribbean cultural celebration, and that when St Thomas puts on a show, it does so with conviction. St Thomas Carnival, held every April, continues to grow as one of the most anticipated events in the Caribbean calendar, and evenings like this are a testament to why. Hypasounds has made no secret of his affection for the USVI, counting it among his favourite places to visit, and his energy on the night reflected every bit of that love for the islands and their people. Special thanks are extended to the Division of Festivals US Virgin Islands and Riddimstream for making the night possible, as well as to Michael Knight and his band for providing the live musical foundation that brought every performance to life.
