This announcement came today from Communications Officer at the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA), Erica Lazare. “Taxpayers are eligible for the 10 per cent discount through the installment option if the first installment is paid by September 30, 2020, and the final installment is made on or before November 30, 2020. There is no requirement to enter into a written arrangement to benefit from the discount, as the discount will be applied when the final payment is made,” she explained. Ms. Lazare noted that the deadline for the 5 per cent discount on Land Tax bills has also been extended to December 31, 2020, adding that a Policy Guidance Note on this matter is available on the BRA website at bra.gov.bb. Additionally, customers may use the drop boxes at the Authority’s payment centres for cheque payments. All cheque payments must be accompanied by the bill or have the Map Reference Number written on the back of the cheque. Over-the-counter payments can be made at the Authority’s locations at Bridge Street Mall, Bridgetown; Weymouth Corporate Centre, Roebuck Street, St. Michael; Holetown Public Complex, St. James; and Oistins, Christ Church, Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Warrens Tower II is open from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. SurePay locations are also available.
