Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Santia Bradshaw, led a walk-through of the Lawrence T. Gay Memorial Primary School today.
Among the touring party were Ministry officials, the school’s principal, the head of the Parent Teacher Association, representatives of the Barbados Union of Teachers, teachers and parents.
Speaking to the media following the tour, Minister Bradshaw said everything was in place for the school to reopen on Tuesday, December 1, as previously announced.
However, she explained that the school would close on Friday, December 4, to allow the necessary time to carry out repairs on areas of the building, highlighted by teachers during the walk-through.
