One of the vendors there recently tested positive for COVID-19, and in keeping with the recommended protocols of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the market is undergoing a thorough sanitisation procedure,” Manager of Markets, Sherlock King, said. Mr. King, in expressing regret at the closure, said he anticipates that the market, which services the needs of persons in that community and beyond, including allowing them to purchase fruit and vegetables and pay bills at the facility, will re-open in a few days. “We are taking this time to close as a precaution while all staff and vendors are tested and the Glebe Market is fully sanitised,” the Manager stressed.
