According to lawmen, the 19-year-old went to Queens Street Beach, Speightstown, St Peter about 2 p.m., in the company of three male friends. They all went into the sea. The sea was said to rough and choppy. He did not resurface. Several persons called for help to find Edwards but were unsuccessful. The police were summoned and subsequently, the Marine Unit and Coast Guard arrived and carried out extensive searches that have so far been unsuccessful.
