Nicholls Bakery temporarily closed

Nicholls Bakery today closed its operations to test all employees after eight staff members at its main depot at Bibby’s Lane tested positive for COVID-19.

“On the side of extreme caution and safety for all staff, customers and families we will close temporarily effective from Thursday, February 18^th, 2021, to test all employees, “ the company said in a statement.

Nicholls also disclosed that it has “contracted the services of a professional cleaning company. We will continue our daily deep-clean sanitization at the bakery and all of our retail locations.”

The company added that it was working with the Covid-19 Monitoring Unit and the Ministry of Health and Wellness, to resume supplying bread to the people of Barbados as soon as possible.
