The luxury property is adding 66 new suites to the South Seas Village, to bring the total room count to 338, by July 1, Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, said in a statement. News of the expansion comes as Sandals opened new properties in Curacao and St Vincent and the Grenadines, and a month after Stewart succeeded his father, Gordon “Butch” Stewart, who died on January 4. He said: “Sandals Royal Barbados is the ultimate indulgent resort for couples who are looking for top-of-the-line luxury. “We’ve added more suites, restaurants, and pools to elevate our options which further enhance the already incredible guest experience.” The expansion will also include the expansion of two new eateries, bringing the restaurant count to nine, along with two new swimming pools.
