Lawmen are appealing for the public’s assistance to help identify the man found dead in Westbury Cemetery this morning.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Inspector (ag) Rodney Inniss, the man was reportedly discovered about 6:47 a.m. at the St Michael cemetery about 150 metres from the main entrance lying on a grassy area between two tombstones.
Inniss said the man appears to be in his late 40s and is black in complexion. At the time of discovery, the deceased was clad in an off-white T-shirt with a purple pattern to the front and was naked from the waist down.
The police spokesman said investigations are ongoing and anyone who may be able to positively identify the body, currently labelled as John Doe, should contact the Black Rock Station 417-7500/7501, Police Emergency 211, or any police station.
