Frontline workers who have not yet received their first dose will also be vaccinated. The administration of the vaccine will run until Wednesday, April 14. Co-coordinator of the Programme, Major David Clarke, explained that no new registrations for appointments would be facilitated during this round of first doses. He added that once the backlog was taken care of, the Ministry would open up a new appointment App, which would allow persons to schedule appointments themselves. In the meantime, those who registered previously will receive a call, email, or text message from the Unit directing them where to go to get vaccinated. The week of first doses will be followed by the administration of the second doses, which will begin from Saturday, April 17. Persons are reminded that it is important to get their second dose to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and to travel with their blue card, which is their Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination.
