According to Acting Police Public Relations Officer Rodney Inniss, officers received a report from a caller about the shooting around 10.38 p.m. and upon responding, the police unit encountered a private motor car attempting to transport the injured man to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Police escorted the vehicle to the hospital but within moments of arriving, the victim was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
