Three minors and an adult are facing a joint criminal damage charge involving a motorcar.

The four are out on bail on the allegation that 21-year-old Kaneil Walcott, of Cave Hill Main Road, St Michael, and three 15-year-old students from a city community, damaged Wayne Stuart’s car on March 16, with intent to damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be damaged.

They pleaded not guilty to the charge when they made their first appearance before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes. Walcott also denied the charge that he assaulted Stuart occasioning him actual bodily harm on that day.

There were no objections to their bail from the prosecutor. Walcott secured the sum of $2,500 with one surety, and is to reappear before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ on November 1.

The minors were granted $500 bail each with a surety.

But the case against them was transferred to the Juvenile Court, where they are expected to appear on Friday.

All four accused have been placed on a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.
