When a team from Barbados TODAY visited a number of beaches on the west and southern coasts of the island, dozens of families could be seeing enjoying a relaxing afternoon with food, games, and overall nice vibes. On the fine dining side, The Abidah by Accra was the place to be for several families on Sunday afternoon, as the all-inclusive adult-only boutique hotel offered special packages for fathers and families over the last week into the weekend. Sales and Marketing Manager at The Abidah, Stanley Mayers, said the hotel made a special effort over the last week to treat the fathers and their families over the week to an interesting experience, given the rough time Barbadians had over the last year. “For this Father’s Day weekend, we have tried something different. We currently had a staycation package out on the market, so what we tried to do this weekend was to upscale things a little more. So, we were doing a gourmet breakfast this weekend, and we packaged that with a room rate, so for this weekend fathers came and indulged in buffet Saturday and Sunday. “For the fathers, in addition to having the buffet breakfast, we also offered an Appreciation Father’s Happy Hour, from 12 pm to 3 pm all day today for fathers, as well as serving a complimentary beverage done by our bar team” he added.
