Both Bellamy and Boyea bring a wealth of philanthropic experience and it is expected that the two will expand the Bank’s reach through work with its corporate social responsibility programme, the Power to Make a Difference (PMAD) and other initiatives. Bellamy is passionate about helping students to find their way in life. Noting that Republic Bank actually goes “beyond the call of duty on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives”, he explained: “I cannot wait to work with them on any projects that involve children and the youth, projects that help the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our society and any project aimed at resulting in positive change for the environment.” “I believe my personal brand aligns perfectly with Republic Bank. From our first meeting I was almost surprised that so many of the bank’s initiatives worked so closely with my passion projects. There are certain core values that Republic Bank holds that are key to me,” he added. Meanwhile, as someone who lives with Type 1 Diabetes, Boyea channeled her own life experience into her calling to work in the health arena. Within that programme I am excited most about working with Jabez House, The Diabetes & Hypertension Association of Barbados, Crime Stoppers and Transplant Links. I look forward to a busy and fruitful year of learning, collaborating, discovering, and growing with Republic Bank,” Boyea said. In welcoming the two into the Republic Bank family, manager, Marketing & Corporate Communications, Sophia Allsopp, said: “These are two phenomenal, hard-working, forward thinking young people whose philanthropic goals align well with those of our Bank. They have put their words into action and are actively making a difference in the lives of young people and vulnerable groups. We are looking forward to working alongside them to inspire positive change.” (PR) Barbados Today Traffic You may also like More than 2 000 workers to be appointed to Public Service —... 16/12/2025 Forde calls for upgrade of island’s sporting product 16/12/2025 Data without borders – The global reach of surveillance and Caribbean vulnerabilities 16/12/2025
