UPDATE: Vagrant dies suddenly at Independence Square

Police have confirmed that the man found dead in Independence Square earlier today was homeless.

Lawmen said the body of a 77-year-old male was found in a phone booth located in the area of the Taxi Parking at Independence Square, St. Michael.

Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss said: “At this stage, we are treating this death as a Sudden Death. There are no suspicion surrounding the circumstances of this death. Investigations are ongoing to locate any family members of the deceased.”
