The public is asked to note that the Swim 4 Life programme has been postponed until further notice.

The programme, which sees children between the ages of six and 16 engage in swimming lessons, was scheduled to begin on August 4, at six venues across the island.

Out of an abundance of caution and as authorities aim to lower the number of COVID-19 cases, the decision was taken to postpone the programme in order to ensure the safety of registered children, swim instructors and monitors.

Swim 4 Life is a joint programme by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy, the National Sports Council and the National Conservation Commission. The above mentioned agencies apologise for any inconvenience caused and will notify the public, parents and guardians of the new start date. (NSC)
