Prescod, 55, of Greenidges, St Lucy, reportedly drowned at Cluffs in that same parish on Tuesday, August 3. His sister, Mondel Quimby, said she last saw Prescod whom she described as a hard-working person, this morning, when he visited her residence to collect chicken to head home and cook. Quimby said she did not see her brother who lives nearby and works with her processing chickens, for the remainder of the day. She subsequently received the news that the last of her motherโs children had drowned. โHe liked going to the beach and working ground. He worked a piece of ground not far from here,โ Quimby said. Prescodโs other relatives and friends in the Greenidges area were also shocked at his death. Rock said he was shaken and hurt by his friendโs passing. โI cannot imagine a person who loved the sea that sort of way and then losing it at the sea. It was a little shocking to me but life is like that, you cannot change what has to be,โ Rock said.
