When the case came up in the No. 2 Supreme Court on Friday morning, Samuel’s time spent on remand was read into the record. It was revealed that he had so far spent 2 665 days on remand at HMP Dodds. Justice Worrell then set down September 8 as the date for his sentencing. Back in November 2019, Samuel was found guilty of manslaughter, in the shooting death of 25-year-old Charley Dume on April 26, 2014. The matter was prosecuted by Deputy Director of Public Prosecution Alliston Seale while Mohia Ma’at appeared on behalf of Samuels.
