In a marine information statement, the BMS said that Hurricane Larry, which is located east-northeast of the region, is expected to generate northerly to north-easterly swells across the marine area of Barbados from Tuesday evening through Friday. These effects should be felt particularly along western coastlines. โAll marine operators should be prepared for the possibility of large open water swells, which can be hazardous to some vessels. Operation of smaller vessels can be difficult at times. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution,โ the BMS advised.
