Prime Minister Mia Mottley made the announcement at the branch meeting moments ago at the Gordan Walters Primary School. King is the second member of the BLP to announce in recent weeks that they would not contest the next election. Earlier, Minister of Health Lt Col Jeffery Bostic said he would not be seeking reelection in the next election. “I made the decision that come next election, I definitely will not be seeking re-election. I believe that I still have a lot of things that I would like to accomplish within St. Philip West and across Barbados for the 300, 000 plus people that we have in it, but I think that I can do that in the different way,” King said.
