However the magistrate ruled against the submission and remanded Austin to reappear before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on December 1. The accused has been on remand at the prison since September after appearing before the Chief Magistrate charged with causing serious bodily harm to Chevon Thomas on September 1, with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do serious bodily harm to him.
