Analogies with Hitler are always dangerous, but Putin seems clearly to be the second coming of Hitler.

Hitler was a megalomaniac driven by the obsession of creating a Greater Aryan Germanic empire in Europe.

He began what turned out to be the Second World War by invading neighbouring countries with significant German minorities, Czechoslovakia and Poland primarily, in order to ‘protect the German-speaking populations from the atrocities inflicted’ on them by the governments of those countries.

This is exactly the same excuse used by Putin for invading Ukraine. And he will not stop there. Just as Hitler did not stop his invasion and annexation of other countries.

The Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have significant ethnic Russian minorities of 30 per cent, 35 per cent, and 10 per cent respectively. They will be targeted by Putin for invasion and annexation into the Greater Russian empire.

A problem for Putin is that these three states, unlike Ukraine, are currently members of NATO, but that will not stop Putin.

He has calculated that neither Europe nor the US has the stomach for a major war and has even threatened to use nuclear weapons.

If Putin is not stopped as quickly as possible by the unified condemnation of the entire world, or by an internal coup, we will soon witness a Third World War break out on the continent of Europe. This time with nuclear weapons.

Isn’t it interesting that the only Caribbean countries so far to lend unequivocal support for Putin are Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela?

Speaks volumes.
