BAMC’s Agronomist, Nyah Nyhathu, indicated that for the month of April, “more workers are needed to complete the harvest”. Harvesting is currently taking place at Three Houses Farm, St. Philip, where the field is located at “Harrow”, opposite the Bushy Park racetrack; Redland Farm, St. John, where the fields are located at “Edgecliff”, and Mount Pleasant Farm, Moncrieffe, St. Philip. The fields are open from 7:00 a.m. and cotton pickers are advised that harvesting attire must comprise the following: long sleeves, long pants, headgear (hat, scarf, head tie), and fully enclosed shoes. They should also travel with an umbrella and water. For further information, interested persons should call the BAMC area office at 437-5465 or 433-4157. COVID-19 protocols will be in full effect on site and at all collection points.
