Communications Manager at the Authority Carolyn Williams-Gayle, indicated that clinics would be held weekly in Queen’s Park from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. “As the tax filing season approaches, we have scheduled tax clinics during the workweek and on Saturdays, starting from April 4 until May 2, which is the deadline for filing the 2021 personal income tax return. This year, the sessions will be held in the Queen’s Park Gallery,” she said. Officers will be on hand to provide taxpayers with assistance in navigating TAMIS, resetting passwords, guidance on return filing, registrations for Tax Identification Numbers (TINs), and Land Tax queries. Williams-Gayle shared that the clinics form part of the Authority’s strategy for engaging directly with taxpayers. “We continue to take a targeted approach in our engagement strategy. These clinics are a continuation of the Authority’s education and outreach programming to help taxpayers better understand their obligations; facilitate taxpayer compliance and garner feedback. We hosted a combination of virtual and face-to-face tax clinics last year, however from last month, we started to re-engage with more in-person activities,” she said.
