UPDATE: Shooting victim identified as 25-year-old Jerome Stuart

UPDATE: The man who died as a result of today’s shooting has been identified as 25-year-old Jerome Stuart of 8th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael.

A 25-year-old man is dead and two others are nursing gunshot wounds following a shooting at Baxters Road, St Michael this afternoon.

Police were called to the area of Jordans Supermarket just after 12 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

On arrival police said they found a number of individuals with gunshot wounds.

The 25-year-old man was transported to the QEH and was pronounced dead on arrival.

A 39-year-old man was shot three times, police said.

The third individual, a 22-year-old man, was grazed by a bullet.

Police have cordoned off the area and motorists and pedestrians are asked to use alternate routes.
