BDF Gunnery Exercise on May 27

The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) will conduct a Gunnery Exercise (GUNNEX), on the north coast of the island on Friday, May 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Operators of all marine crafts are advised to keep clear of the area and to take extreme caution during the activity there. The BDF has further advised that this live fire-training exercise poses no threat to fishermen, mariners, or sea goers.

The coordinates are as follows

• Firing Area Start Line: 13° 16’N 059° 43.25’W – 13° 18’N 059° 43.05’W
• Limit of Advance Line:  13° 16’N 059° 44.38’W → 13° 18’N 059° 44.38’W
• Right Area Limit: 315º T
• Right Firing Limit: 300º T
• Left Firing Limit: 240º T
• Left Area Limit: 225º T
