Mottley explained that Grant was offered the position some time ago and had agreed, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs having already scheduled a date of which he will begin in his new post. “I’ve asked whether he would serve as our Consul General in Miami, he has agreed, he gave the appropriate notice to his employers, he agreed some time ago, and he will now take up the post at a date the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have agreed upon,” Mottley said.
