Three people were injured in a shooting at Cave Hill Saturday afternoon, police say.

One of the victims is undergoing emergency surgery, while the others were in stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police say around 2:40 p.m., officers who were on patrol heard explosions in near Montgomery pasture, Cave Hill, St Michael.

On investigation they discovered three injured individuals at the scene.

Acting public relations officer inspector Stephen Griffith is appealing for the public’s help. He said anyone with information should call the nearest station or Crime Stoppers (1-800-8477 or TIPS), as well as police emergency 211 or the hotline 429-8787.
