Accused denies multiple gun charges

A St Michael is scheduled to face a judge and jury later this year after he denied committing 12 offences under the Firearms Act.

Adesina Kijana Crichlow, of Brydens Avenue, Brittons Hill and Roumaika Court, Dayrells Road entered the not guilty pleas before Acting Madam Justice Wanda Blair on Monday when he appeared with attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens who was holding for Queen’s Counsel Andrew Pilgrim. Senior State Counsel Olivia Davis was the prosecutor.

Crichlow is accused of having a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and two rounds of ammunition on January 6, 2018.

He is also alleged to have had a pistol, a .45 calibre semi-automatic pistol, an AR 15 pistol, a .45 automatic pistol, a 10mm calibre semi-automatic pistol, a .40 Smith and Wesson calibre semi-automatic pistol and 371 rounds of ammunition on January 8, as well as an AK47 semi-automatic rifle, an AR15 semi-automatic rifle, and 833 bullets on January 10 that same year.

Following his arraignment, Justice Blair set November 21 as the date for Crichlow to go on trial in the No. 2 Supreme Court.
