Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 539 Former multiple Suzuki Challenge Series Champion Suleman Esuf will return to the category at Bushy Park Barbados this Sunday in round two of the Radical Caribbean Cup (RCC). Joining the regionโs fastest race cars on the schedule for Bushy Park Motorsports Incโs (BPMSI) second race meet of the season will be Street Digs, the new-for-2022 initiative which has attracted a large number of newcomers to the St Philip facilityโs one-eighth-of-a-mile drag strip on Friday evenings in recent months. All-rounder Esuf, who first came to prominence as a successful drag racer, enjoys one of the highest win rates in the SR3 Cup; his nine wins and 13 further podium finishes in 36 races in the Bushy Park-based SCS which ended in 2017, are crowned with four Championship titles. Since then he has raced only rarely in the regional series, having switched to rallying, first with a BMW M3, then a Ford Fiesta R5, which was replaced this year by a BMW 1M Coupe. On Sunday, he will come up against familiar rivals, led by the 2017 Winter Champion, Guyanaโs Kristian Jeffrey, who won twice in the opening round at Bushy Park in July to snatch the early advantage in the 2022 RCC and place his home country in the lead of the Nations Cup. With four territories represented in this yearโs series, โSolโ can also expect strong competition from Trinidad & Tobagoโs Kristian Boodoosingh, who claimed three podium finishes in the season-opener, and Jamaicaโs Senna Summerbell Jnr. He will be joined in the Barbados team by Justin, Mark and Sean Maloney. In addition to the RCC and Street Digs, Sundayโs programme, which kicks off at 11 a.m., will also include the second round of the BPMSI Championship. After practice and qualifying sessions for the RCC and BPMSI groups, the first of four sessions of Street Digs is scheduled for 12.20 a.m. As usual, there will be three races each for the RCC (10 laps) and BPMSI groups (6 laps).
