Police probe suspected drowning, family seeks answers

Family members of Tony McDonald Leacock, 53, of Durants Village, Holders Hill, St James are baffled by the circumstances surrounding his tragic death.

Police reported that Leacock drowned at Paynes Bay Beach, St James around 1:15 p.m., on Monday.

Police said a water sports operator had seen the body at the bottom of the water and dived and retrieved it.

Leacock was identified by a family member.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Holetown Police Station at 419-1700, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-tips (8477) or the nearest police station.
